Cost of Aging in Place vs. a Senior Living Community

As you choose between aging in place vs. a senior living community near Sugarland, it’s important to evaluate your expenses at home. After taking into account all your bills – including your mortgage, property taxes, utilities, groceries, housekeeping, entertainment, transportation and more – a senior living community in Texas may give you greater value.

This is especially true because senior living communities offer on-site health support and other convenient amenities you otherwise wouldn’t have access to at home, such as chef-prepared meals, housekeeping, transportation, social events and a fitness center.

At our senior living community in Meadows Place, you can live your best life with all-included amenities and health support services. Everything is included in one monthly payment, so you can easily control your budget and pursue your ideal senior living vision.

Veteran’s Benefits

Our community at The Hampton is wonderfully diverse and includes veterans like you. As you calculate your senior living budget, be sure to keep in mind your veteran’s benefits. Senior veterans and/or their spouses may be eligible to receive financial assistance for assisted living or medical care through a benefit called Aid and Attendance.

This program helps offset the long-term health costs for senior veterans, typically through a stipend that ranges from $1,300-$2,400/month. Apply for this benefit on the Veterans Affairs website or through your Veterans Regional Office, so you can use this stipend to pay for communities like ours.
